About Booker
A school built on three decades of trust.
Founded 1993. Governed by the Mumias Education Trust. Built for the CBC generation.

Booker Academy began in 1993 as a school for the children of Mumias Sugar Company employees. What started as a single day school has grown, over more than thirty years, into a full day-and-boarding institution serving families from across the country.
In 2004, the school opened its doors nationally and became a boarding school. In 2010, the Mumias Education Trust was established to govern the Academy, giving it the structure and stability of an institution built to last.
Today, that same foundation carries us into a new chapter: Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum, all the way through to the new Senior School. The name on the gate hasn't changed. Neither has what we stand for — education that prepares a child for a real life, not just a single exam.
